Situation#1:  You have been asked to create a web presence for a local store that caters to New Age philosophies.  After viewing your web page, they ask for some light background music to play while customers browse their on-line newsletter.  You decide that using BinaB would be the best choice to create a MIDI file quickly.

1.  Use the Melodist to create Chords ONLY in the style of:  #1 Pop 16ths Pad Bells.
2.  Use the Style button to switch to a New Age Style (use New Age 1 under Pop/Rock)
3.  Make sure the Tempo is around 80 or 90
4.  Force the Key to be F minor  (Fm)
5.  Use the Melodist to create a melody in the Style of KennyG  (#2) for the first chorus only!  (don't forget to turn off allow style changes)  Allow NO harmony!  Tell BinaB to change instruments: every chorus.
6.  Use the Soloist to create a solo in the 2nd chorus.  Use a piano as the solo instrument.  Allow defaults for the rest.
7.  Use the Melodist to create a melody in the Style of Pop 16ths Atmosphere in the 3rd chorus.    Allow no harmony
8.  Save two copies of your work.  One as a Standard MIDI file, the other as a Band in a Box file both with the name "newage".
 

Situation#2:  You have been employed by Cowboys-R-Us to create an on-line catalog for customers to order from.  They have asked for some appropriate background music to keep their customers from getting bored.  You decide to use BinaB to create your tune.

1.  Use the Melodist to create Chords ONLY in the style of:  #32 Rock Eagles  (turn off harmony!).
2.  Use the Style button to switch to a Nashville style (use Country Rock 2)  allow BinaB to expand!
3.  Make sure the Tempo is around 120 or so (240 if using 8th note beats)
4.  Force the Key to be G major  (G)
5.  Use the Melodist to create a melody in the Style of 12 String Guitar for the first chorus only!  (don't forget to turn off allow style changes)  Allow NO harmony!  Tell BinaB to change instruments: every chorus.
6.  Use the Soloist to create a solo in the 2nd chorus.  Use a banjo as the solo instrument.  Allow defaults for the rest.
7.  Use the Melodist to create a melody in the Style of 12 String Guitar in the 3rd chorus.    Allow no harmony
8.  Save two copies of your work.  One as a Standard MIDI file, the other as a Band in a Box file both with the name "country".
